Yes I think instead of trying to venture out she settled on getting married. During the time period, women were oppressed.
2.Is Lennie silimar to the old dog?
Yes Lennie is similar t the old dog because they both are considered useless, and in the way of things Lennie is a good worker but messes with things and has away of messin them up. The dog was once at it's prime as a sheep chases but its useless and has no reason to be kept alive as Lennie.
3. Does George take the place of Lennie dead aunt who used to care for him?
Yes, George makes sure Lennie's stays out of troblue, feeds him,, and looks out for him, just as his aunt who died. George took over the responability kind of life Lennie was his new child.
